Martin thought the first picture was too serious and pretentious.
Okay homes, how do you like these apples?
The truth is, the 3 minute video is a lot of things: sober and goofy, loose yet carefully planned at the same time. No single frame is going to do it justice, I think.
Or will it....?
I'd like to think that our 3 minute video is going to be different than most of the entries. I'd like to think that it's so different, that it won't be forgotten after the 100th video has played. I'd like to think it is, in a word, unique.
Now, whether or not that's a good thing remains to be seen.
Martin, care to comment?

Thanks for watchin it!
Posted by: Martin at May 9, 2004 09:30 PMHey,
Great video. I thought you guys were really creative with it. Me and my writing partner simply had a friend of ours hold the camera and shoot us. The first time we did it we were drunk, and came off like complete assholes. The second go round, which we submitted, is just me and my buddy standing against a brick wall on my roof talkin about shit about the script. We even lay into one of our reviewers. We went for the "funny" angle, because that's kind of all we know how to do.
If you wanna check out my video, e-mail me, we can setup a file transfer or something. I don't have webspace to store it, nor the means to convert it to a .mov file.
good job guys
Posted by: Jack at May 9, 2004 11:13 PMHey Jack!
Thanks alot--we appreciate it very much. I'd love to see your video--is it on tape or digital? If it's digital, we can figure out a transfer via ftp or something.
Anyways--thanks again--and good luck to you! Can't wait to read your script.
Posted by: martin at May 10, 2004 05:50 PMThanks for the kind comments, guys! I'm still kinda nervous about the whole thing, how it will be received, etc., but what you've said makes me feel a bit better.
Jack: I'd love to see your video. Frankly, I'm glad you lay into a reviewer; some of those guys are just assholes. Unfortunately, I'm not the tech guy--that's Martin--so I have no idea how that would work. Maybe he'll chime in...
Posted by: Kza at May 10, 2004 05:57 PMD'oh! Always one step ahead of me...
